Frequently Asked Questions
Why was Living Water created?
Living Water was developed by farmers, for farmers to automate the delivery of biological materials that are essential for soil health. The system is designed to reduce costs, simplify logistics, and eliminate the labor traditionally associated with biological applications.
Can I run Living Water with my normal fertigation schedule?
Yes. Living Water integrates directly with your existing irrigation and fertigation schedule. The all-natural biological process complements and enhances your current program without requiring changes to how you fertigate.
How long does it take to set up the Living Water Bioreactor?
Initial setup typically takes 30 minutes to 1 hour. After setup, the system only requires weekly monitoring and monthly maintenance, keeping ongoing labor minimal.
How many acres can one Living Water Bioreactor cover?
We recommend up to 200 acres per bioreactor, depending on crop type, irrigation system, and management goals.
Do you have a track record with growers using the Living Water system?
Yes. as of 2025 Living Water has been deployed in over 100 bioreactors, covering an estimated 30,000+ total treated acres across multiple crops and regions.
Are the microbes all-natural and tested?
Yes. Living Water uses industry-tested, native species bacteria and fungi that play key roles in soil regeneration, nutrient cycling, and root support.
Does Living Water replace my fertilizer or nutrient program?
No. Living Water is designed to work alongside your existing nutrient program, helping improve nutrient efficiency and soil function rather than replacing fertilizers.
What type of irrigation systems is Living Water compatible with?
Living Water is compatible with most irrigation systems, including drip, overhead sprinkers, and pivot.
How often are microbes applied?
Microbes are activated and delivered automatically during irrigation events, ensuring consistent biological support throughout the season. Each month, a SoilPHIX microbe recharge pack will be provided to the grower to replenish the bioreactor.
Is Living Water difficult to manage?
No. Once installed, the system operates in the background with minimal oversight, allowing growers to focus on crop management rather than manual biological applications.
What injection or dosing pump should I use?
We recommend using the Living Water injection pump, which is available for purchase and sized specifically for proper delivery and compatibility with our system. Growers may use their own injection or dosing pump, provided it meets the required flow and compatibility specifications.
How does the Living Water process work?
After consulting with a Living Water representative, you’ll purchase a Living Water Bioreactor along with a subscription to our microbial blend, SoilPHIX. Each month, you will be billed, and a SoilPHIX refresh pack is shipped and added to the bioreactor, where microbes are activated on-site and delivered automatically through your irrigation system.
Is SoilPHIX certified?
Yes. SoilPHIX is OMRI Listed® and certified for use in organic production.
